Worcester Police Seeking Suspect Who Struck 16-Year-Old Woman in Hit and Run
Thursday, June 13, 2019
The woman suffered serious injuries, including broken bones, but is expected to survive.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Incident
On Wednesday, June 12, at about 6:45 a.m., a 16-year-old woman was crossing Burncoat Street at the intersection of Burncoat and Melrose St.
She was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a black sedan traveling east toward Melrose St. The black sedan did not stop after striking the woman.
Responding officers and paramedics stopped traffic and treated the female medically. She was brought to the hospital and the Crash Reconstruction Unit was called to investigate.
