Worcester Police Investigating Gunshots in Area of Houghton Street

The Worcester police are in search of suspects responsible for firing gunshots in the area of Houghton Street early Sunday morning.

Police were made aware of the gunshots due to ShotSpotter activation.

No-one was hurt.

The Incident

On the morning of Sunday, December 16 at about 2:12 a.m., Worcester Police officers were sent to the area of 68 Houghton St for a reported ShotSpotter activation.

ShotSpotter is a system that helps police identify gunshots and dispatches them to the area of the shots.

After a brief investigation, officers determined that shots had been fired, but the suspects had fled the scene.

No one was hurt.

This investigation is ongoing.
