Worcester Police Investigating Break-in at Vernon Park’s Little League Field Houses

Worcester police are investigating a break into the little league field houses at Vernon Park.

The Incident

On the morning of Sunday, November 4 at about 8:50 a.m., Worcester Police officers were sent to Vernon Park at 198 Providence St for a report of a past break.

Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reporter, who showed the officer that someone had forced his way into all 3 field houses surrounding the park.

All of the Little League baseball equipment and maintenance supplies were in the field houses. Some type of tool was used to destroy the locks on the field houses, and the suspect trashed the inside of the field houses.

The matter is under investigation.
