Worcester Police in Search of Man Who Robbed Country Bank

Worcester Police are in search of a man who robbed the Country Bank on Park Avenue on Monday afternoon.

According to one of the tellers, the suspect, described as a white man, approximately 45 to 50 years old, 5’8” or 5’9” tall, medium complexion, clean shaven, approached the counter and handed a note demanding cash. No weapon was mentioned or seen.

The Incident

On Monday, November 6, at approximately 3:24 p.m., Worcester Police responded to Country Bank located at 278 Park Avenue for a reported robbery. Upon the officers arrival, they met with bank employees.

According to several witnesses, the suspect calmly walked in, walked directly to the counter, received the cash and casually walked out of the bank without raising any suspicion with those that were inside the bank. The suspect was last seen walking south on Park Avenue.

WPD detectives arrived at the scene along with members of the Crime Scene Unit. Investigators interviewed customers and employees while CSU members processed the scene for evidence. Investigators also reviewed security video footage of the suspect.
