Worcester Police to promote two officers during ceremony on Friday

The Worcester Police Department will promote two officers in a ceremony on Friday. 

Officer John Baizley will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant, while Sgt. Michael Hanlon will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 2 at 11 a.m. at City Hall in the Levin Lincoln Chamber. 

During the ceremony, the officers will take their oaths before family members and colleagues. 

City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr, Councilor Kate Toomey, Chair of Public Safety and Chief Steven M. Sargent will preside over the ceremony.
