Anti-hunger organization Project Bread is set to kick off  Summer Eats with the sixth consecutive Summer Food Rocks Tour.

The tour will stop at several meal sites throughout Massachusetts’ 2nd Congressional District with Congressman Jim McGovern on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Stops will be made in Leominster from 9 to 10 a.m., Florence from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Worcester from 2:45 to 3:05 p.m.

Project Bread

For over 20 years, Project Bread has worked in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide youth with access to Summer Eats across the state.

Last summer, there were 1,100 Summer Eats sites across Massachusetts, 48 of which were new. More than 57,000 kids and teens were fed each day at these sites, which equated to serving 2 million meals.
