Want to know more about your icon? Bring your objects in for an assessment clinic provided by the members of the Museum’s curatorial team.

The assessment includes the approximate age of your icon, where and how it was made, and for what purpose it was made.

Find out if your icon is a Church icon or an icon for domestic display, and receive information on conservation and appraisal services.

Sleepy Hollow Experience at Old Sturbridge Village 

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the legend of Sleepy Hollow. Guests are invited to celebrate with the show that has been called "one of the country's top five Halloween plays" by American Theatre Magazine and immerse themselves in the spooky tale.

Arrive early to dine on soups, stew, and chowder in the transformed Ichabod's Tavern, or purchase sweets and libations prior to the show and during intermission. 

The Sleepy Hollow experience opens at 7:30 p.m.

Worcester Chamber Music Society - Night Music at Assumption

WCMS will be joined two acclaimed musicians: Ashleigh Gordon, viola; and Rhonda Rider, cello for a nocturnal program that examines the dark hours from a variety of angles.

Arthur Foote’s dreamy A Night Piece and Franz Schubert’s elegant Notturno highlight its amiable sides. Meanwhile, Luigi Boccherini’s Night Music of Madrid evokes a city that never sleeps and Arnold Schoenberg’s lush Verklärte Nacht probes the depths of the human psyche.

The event begins at 4 p.m.
