Worcester Chamber Music Society - Music on Main

World-renowned Klezmer band, Shirimled by clarinetist Glenn Dickson, will be joined by WCMS musicians and Neighborhood Strings.

A community concert series featuring musicians and friends of the Worcester Chamber Music Society in non-traditional neighborhood venues.

The one-hour concerts are free, less formal, and focus on the Main South community. Kids, first-timers, and seasoned concert-goers are all welcome.

Making Clay Stupas at Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Art Gallery at Holy Cross 

Naresh Bajracharya, Visiting Fulbright Professor from Kathmandu, Nepal, will conduct a stupa making workshop, held in conjunction with the exhibition Dharma and Punya: Buddhist Ritual Art of Nepal. 

This exhibition highlights Nepal’s artistic heritage as a rich and enduring continuation of Indic Buddhist traditions. Featuring paintings, illustrated texts, sculptures, and ritual implements crafted by Newar artisans over the last millennium, Dharma and Punya: Buddhist Ritual Art of Nepal will be centered on how the Buddha’s teachings were arrayed as much for worldly householders as otherworldly seekers.

Worcester County's lakes and ponds host a rich assortment of ducks and grebes during migration season. On this tour, we will explore Leesville Pond and other sites in the greater Worcester area by van in search of migrating waterfowl.

Learn to identify a variety of beautiful waterbirds in the field, explore some hidden local areas, and come away with a greater appreciation of these birds and the waterways they rely on.

Hooded and Common mergansers, Green-winged Teal, American Widgeon, and Northern Pintail ducks are just some of the species we can expect to see.

Experience the traditions of preparing for an early 19th-century New England Thanksgiving.

Learn about 1830s dining etiquette and watch the men of the Village compete in a post-dinner target shoot (weekends). Smell the scents of roasted turkey and pies warming by the fire.

Hear the minister talk about the true meaning of Thanksgiving in the Village’s historic Center Meetinghouse.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. when the Village opens.
