The opening of Grayscale at ArtsWorcester on Friday, December 4th, from 6 - 8 p.m. will show off a record number of artists from across the region, including the Boston area.

The exhibition will include 120 artists and marks the fourth "call and response" collaboration with the Fitchburg Art Museum.

All works in the exhibit are in black and white, or with an extremely muted color palette. From those works, the Fitchburg Art Museum curatorial staff will choose ten artworks to be exhibited next summer at FAM, during their regional show.

"The shot at a museum credential attracted participation from artist groups across the region. But the challenge of the theme, artwork without color, drew participation, and brought in a high level of excellence," said Juliet Feibel, ArtsWorcester's Executive Director.

Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment and free of charge.

The exhibit runs through January 14th.
