Habitat for Humanity to Conduct “Operation Playhouse” on Saturday, May 21

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester has announced an Operation Playhouse event at St. Francis Episcopal Church.  The event will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The veteran family will arrived between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. to pick up their finished playhouse.

During the event, members of the congregation will be building , painting and decorating a playhouse that will be donated to a child of a local veteran family at the end of the day.

"It's a great day for Veterans and their families. Our staff works closely with Blue Star Mothers that identify which Veteran families will receive the playhouse" Habitat for Humanity said in their release.

The playhouse  is themed according to the child's interests, but it is a surprise to the child.

Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester is the only affiliate to offer this program in Massachusetts.
