Worcester and New Jersey Residents Involved in Car Crash

The Incident
On Monday, June 20 at approximately 1:53 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle and motorcycle accident in the area of 28 Park Avenue.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old New Jersey resident, received serious injuries. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital. The victim's injuries are non-life threatening but he is in serious condition with a chest injury, abrasions and contusions.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Kia Optima, operated by a 21-year-old Worcester resident, was traveling north on Park Avenue. the operator of the Kia was heading towards Thomas Woods Insurance Agency located at 20 Park Avenue.
The operator of the Kia turned left into the southbound lane in an effort to enter the parking lot of the insurance agency. The operator of the Kia turned directly into the path of the motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcycle impacted the passenger side of the Kia. The impact ejected the motorcycle operator onto the road surface.
The operator of the Kia was uninjured.
