Basketball Tournament to Benefit Puerto Rico to be Held in Worcester

“We are coming together as a community to help alleviate the devastation and help rebuild and uplift our sister island,” said the Brotherhood in their press release.
The tournament will take place on Sunday, October 15 from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Tournament
Playing in the tournament will be twelve teams, made up of locally and Latinx owned barbershops and led by Michelangelo’s Barbershop at 138 Green St, Worcester.
Before the games begin there will be a three-point contest led by youth.
Each shot that a young person makes will be a donation towards Amor Para Puerto Rico based on sponsorship from people in the community
The Brotherhood
The Brotherhood is a grassroots Worcester based collective of men who use the power of social networking, mobilizing, and organizing to highlight and support men of color in the City of Worcester.
"Amor Para Puerto Rico" is a community action working group brought together by the residents of the City of Worcester to bring forth relief efforts to those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
