Holy Cross Football Falls to Yale 23-10

The Holy Cross Crusaders fell to Yale 23-10 on Saturday afternoon in New Haven, Connecticut.

The loss drops Holy Cross to 1-2 on the season, while Yale begins the year 1-0.

Holy Cross Falls to Yale

The Crusaders trailed 6-3 at the half, before the Bulldogs pulled away.

In the third quarter, Yale increased its lead to 13-3 on a 24-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kurt Rawlings to Caden Herring.

The score remained that way until the fourth quarter when Holy Cross quarterback Connor Degenhardt connected with wide receiver Tenio Ayeni on a 27-yard touchdown pass to bring Holy Cross to within three,13-10.

However, Rawlings scored on a three-yard run on the Bulldogs’ next possession, before Sam Tuckerman kicked a 28-yard field goal to conclude the scoring.

Next Up

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, September 28 when they visit Syracuse.

Game time is set for 12 p.m.
