Dance Theatre of Harlem presented by Music Worcester at Hanover Theatre
The 17-member, multi-ethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and resident choreographer Robert Garland, as well as innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate African American culture. Through performances, community engagement and arts education, the company carries forward Dance Theatre of Harlem’s message of empowerment through the arts for all.

Photo Revolution: Andy Warhol to Cindy Sherman at Worcester Art Museum
Photo Revolution: Andy Warhol to Cindy Sherman explores the symbiotic relationship that developed between photography and contemporary art at the end of the twentieth century.
Organized primarily from the Worcester Art Museum's permanent collection, this exhibition assesses the trajectory of contemporary art through a comparison of traditional media, such as painting, prints, and sculpture, with photography and emerging photo-based art.
The exhibit opens at 10 a.m.

Pakachoag Music School Student Recital at Pakachoag Music School
Our first student recital for the new school year will feature 10 students who have been working hard to polish their latest pieces. Performers will play piano, violin and guitar, also sing, representing ages 7 to 17.
Participating students represent the towns of Auburn, Charlton, Paxton, Shrewsbury, West Boylston and Worcester.
The event begins at 1 p.m.

Bemis Farms Wreath Making At Old Sturbridge Village
Old Sturbridge Village is partnering with Bemis Farms of Spencer, MA for a special one-day wreath making class and sit-down luncheon (see menu below)!
These fresh wreaths smell as good as they look.
Price includes the luncheon, all supplies, tax, and gratuity. A small cash bar will also be set up during the program.

A New England Harvest Home at First Baptist Church
Salisbury Singers stay close to home with the music of three noted New England composers: Alice Parker, Gwyneth Walker, and Randall Thompson, whose Frostiana will be performed in its entirety. Set to the poetry of the Pulitzer Prize-winning New England poet Robert Frost, Thompson’s Frostiana: Seven Country Songs are a delightful mix of poems reflecting on nature, and include the famous “The Road Not Taken” and “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.”
