WMA Faculty Trio Recital at Salem Covenant Church

The Worcester Music Academy presents its first faculty recital of the year featuring David Siegel (violin), Betsy Bronstein (cello) and Kevin Song (piano).  They will perform works by Brahms and Ravel. 

This concert will take place at the Salem Covenant Church (215 E Mountain St in Worcester) as part of the Serenity Coffeehouse. 

This concert is free and open to the public.

Tales Best Told in the Dark Halloween Event at Roosevelt Branch 

Let storyteller David Mello chill, thrill and thoroughly entertain you with a diverse collection of stories, poems, and songs from around the world using masks and shadow puppetry.

The presentation will include: "Teeth", a traditional Cape Verdean "jump tale"; "The Red, Red Lips", a humorous tale with a twist ending; "The Uninvited Guest", a story from Germany told with shadows; and many more

Jeff Campbell at The Fourth Saturday Open Mic at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Worcester

The Fourth Saturday Open Mic meets at Barnes & Noble on Lincoln Street in Worcester. Open mic at 7 p.m., featured poets to follow.

This month Jeff Campbell will be the feature.

After the featured poets read the gathered poetry lovers adjourn to the in-store coffee shop and chat about whatever comes up until close -- at about 10 pm.

Halloween Night Hike & Hayride at Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary

This Halloween season, soak in the sounds of the night on a guided hike, learn about nocturnal wildlife, and make a Halloween craft.

Go on a hayride with friends and family, warm up by the bonfire, and join us for Halloween tricks and treats. *Children 2 and under receive free admission.

Village Trick or Treat at Old Sturbridge Village 

Visit the Village after hours for a family-friendly evening of trick or treating on the Common. Show off your best Halloween costume, hear spooky tales, enjoy a bonfire, take a hayride around the Common, and more. 

Throughout the evening, children can trick-or-treat around the Village Common. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

The event goes from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
