Holy Cross Baseball Set for Patriot League Championship Series

The Holy Cross Crusaders baseball team is set to compete in the Patriot League Championship Series this weekend in Annapolis, Maryland against top seeded Navy. 

Game 1 of the series is set for Saturday, May 21 at 1 p.m., game 2 is Sunday the 22nd at 1 p.m. and if necessary game 3 is set for Monday at 1 p.m. 

This will be Holy Cross' 4th appearance in the Patriot League Championship series. They have yet to win a tournament title. 

How Holy Cross Got Here 

The Crusaders got in tot he championship series by defeating Lehigh in three games in the Patriot League semifinals

Holy Cross split a doubleheader with the Mountain Hawks on Saturday, winning 9-4 in game 1 before falling 18-5 in game 2. 

The Crusaders then took Sunday's deciding game 3 by a score of 12-8. 

Holy Cross was led in the  series by Senior outfielder Bobby Indeglia who went  6 for 11 with four runs scored, three doubles and three RBIs. 

Holy Cross vs Navy Regular Season 

During the regular season, Holy Cross and Navy split the series in Annapolis with each team winning two games. 

The Crusaders won the first two games by scores of 3-1 and 4-2 before losing the final two games by scores of 9-0 and 4-2. 

This series was played at the beginning of April. 

Holy Cross went 27-24 on the season and 14-6 in Patriot League play. Navy went 40-13-1 and 15-5 in  Patriot League play.
