The Incident
At approximately 12:53 a.m. on June 4, police responded to an Ingalls Street apartment for a report of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers met with a 25-year-old female victim and her 30-year old boyfriend.
The female was bleeding from the head and said that she was shot in the head. The female was treated at the scene by Worcester EMS and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was not shot, she had a laceration.
Officers were told that the male and female went to 76 Ward Street for the purpose of purchasing narcotics. The two were inside the apartment and met with two male suspects. While inside the apartment an argument ensued. During the argument one of the suspects, Jasyon Isaac pulled a gun. Upon seeing the weapon the male and female fled the apartment.
The two split up as they ran from the apartment. The female attempted to hide but was discovered by Isaac who struck her over the head with what is believed to be the handle of the gun. Isaac fired one round from the gun. The female fled and ran back to her apartment and called police.
Officers arrived at the scene and set up a perimeter to the Ward Street apartment. Police knocked on the door but no one answered. One officer was positioned in the rear of the apartment building when he heard sounds of what appeared to be someone falling.
The officer observed a Isaac walking away from the rear of the building. A fence obstructed full view but it appeared that the Isaac had just jumped out of a rear window. An officer approached the Isaac and immediately secured him.
