Worcester Police Investigating Rollover Accident on West Boylston Street

Friday, October 04, 2019

Worcester Police are investigating a rollover accident that took place late Tuesday night near Strands Ski Shop on West Boylston Street.

A male driver was unconscious, while the female passenger was found conscious, but shaken up.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Incident

On October 1, at about 11:42 p.m., Worcester Police were sent to a single-car, rollover accident near Strands Ski Shop on West Boylston Dr.

Officers arrived and found the driver and passenger lying outside the sedan, which was upside down.

The male driver was unconscious and the female was shaken up but conscious.

They were both taken by ambulance to the hospital and treated for their injuries.

According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed that the car was going south on West Boylston Drive when the operator lost control in the left lane, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway and flip onto its roof.

The investigation indicates that speed was a factor in the crash.
