Worcester Police Seeking Public’s Help With Hit & Run Suspect

Worcester police are asking for help from the public in finding the suspect involved with a hit and run that took place on Monday, March 11.

Anyone with any information should contact Officer Diaz of the Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction Unit at 508-799-8674 x28230.

The Incident

On Monday, March 11, at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the vicinity of 1099 Pleasant Street for a pedestrian hit and run crash.

The pedestrian was identified as a 77-year-old female. She was rushed to a local hospital. The victim remains hospitalized and is listed in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was crossing the street within the crosswalk when the vehicle struck her. The suspect vehicle continued onto Mill Street without stopping.

The picture is a possible suspect vehicle which is described as a 2011 – 2014 Hyundai Sonata color white, with a sunroof and alloy rims.

The car should have minor damage to the hood and possibly front bumper (passengers side).
