Holy Cross Falls 39-28 to New Hampshire

The Holy Cross Crusaders (1-1) fell 39-28 to the (1-1) New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday night in New Hampshire. 

Holy Cross quarterback Peter Pujals completed 42 passes for 427 yards and three touchdowns  while rushing for 15 yards and a touchdown but it was not enough. 

The Game 

The Holy Cross Crusaders led 28-19 in the third quarter of the game before allowing New Hampshire to score 20 straight points. 

The Wildcats first scored on a one-yard run by Trevon Bryant, then got a 62-yard pass from quarterback Trevor Knight to Rory Donovan and finally put the game away with a 28-yard interception return by Casey DeAndrade. 

Holy Cross led 21-13 at halftime and 21-6 early in the second quarter.

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, September 17 when they visit Albany at 7 p.m.
