Worcester man arrested after stabbing another man during fight in Lincoln Square

A Worcester man was arrested for stabbing another man during a fight in the area of Lincoln Square.

Jonathan Goff, 61, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

The Incident

On June 21st about 11 a.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Lincoln Square for a fight. An officer working a traffic detail around the corner was the first to arrive.

Two men had been fighting prior to the officer’s arrival, and police separated them upon arrival. They were both shouting at each other and making threats. Both men had blood on their clothes, and police discovered that one of the men had been stabbed several times.

Witnesses told police that a man later identified as Goff of 39 West St, approached the victim and an argument broke out. Goff stabbed the victim, a twenty-four-year-old Worcester man, several times.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.
