Monday, June 05, 2017

A 14-year-old boy was arrested for carrying a loaded gun without a license and two counts of possession of a gun without an FID Card in Worcester. He also had an outstanding warrant.

Two others were arrested at the scene as well.

Joseph Todisco, 21, of Grafton, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class D substance with Intent to Distribute.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute.

The Incident

On Thursday, June 1 at about 9:30 p.m., members of the Worcester Police Gang Unit were on patrol in the area of Rodney St. Their attention was drawn to a Ford Fiesta that went through the stop sign at the intersection of Rodney St and Catharine St.

As officers approached the car, they saw the passengers in the rear of the car frantically moving around as if to hide something. The passengers appeared to be extremely nervous, and were focusing their attention on hiding a plastic grocery bag on the floor. The officers ordered the rear passengers out of the car to make sure that they were not concealing a weapon. When the passengers exited, the officers saw a wooden handle sticking out of the bag that appeared to be the butt end of a gun. They took the bag out of the car, and removed a loaded silver handgun with a round of ammunition in the chamber.

After searching the car, officers recovered several small ziplock bags, a digital scale, and marijuana.
