Woman Found Dead in Leominster Apartment, Boyfriend Charged With Murder

The victim’s name is being withheld until her family is notified.
Jose Cortes, 58, of 25 State St., Apt. C, was arrested and charged with murder. He will be arraigned Monday in Leominster District Court.
The Incident
The woman, who was visiting 25 State St., Apt. C, was declared dead at the scene by a paramedic.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case and will determine the cause and manner of death.
Leominster Police, Fire and Medstar ambulance responded to that address after a 911 call.
State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Leominster Police are investigating.
