Saturday, June 10, 2017

A Worcester man was arrested after stabbing another man during a fight. The victim tried to get away in his car and ended up crashing it into a railing.

Geoffrey Plonski, 28, of Worcester was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (knife) and Defacement of Property.

The Incident

On Thursday, June 8 at about 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a Plantation St address for a possible stabbing. As they approached the address, officers saw a man covered in blood and a totaled car. The car had multiple flat tires and had crashed into a railing.

A man covered in blood was sitting on the sidewalk outside the car. Officers spoke with the victim, who had two slash marks on the back of his head. He was transported to the hospital.

Officers also located another man, later identified as Geoffrey Plonski, 28, of Plantation St. Plonski admitted to being in an altercation with the victim, and slashing the tires of the car that crashed. Police removed a folding knife from Plonski’s front pocket.

After speaking with other witnesses, the police determined that the victim had been over Plonski’s house with the permission of another resident. When  Plonski returned home, he was irate at the victim’s presence and attacked him. During the fight, Plonski stabbed the victim in the neck and slashed the tires of his car.
