Worcester Man Arrested Inside Perkins Street Apartment for Trafficking Cocaine

Coral Warburton, 34, was charged with possession of class A substance with the intent to distribute and trafficking in cocaine (36-99 grams).
Police made the arrest after gaining possession of a search warrant for the apartment.
The Incident
On Wednesday, August 23, members of the WPD Vice Squad were in possession of a search warrant for 12 Perkins Street. The target of the warrant was Comal Warburton, 34, of the Perkins Street address and also of 26 Bancroft Street, Worcester.
Members of the vice squad set up surveillance around the 12 Perkins Street building. Officers saw Warburton leaving his building and enter a 2012 Chevrolet. Officers followed Warburton to Hawley Street, adjacent to the basketball courts.
While watching Warburton, officers observed him engage in several street level drug transactions on Hawley Street. Warburton began to drive in the direction of his apartment. At this time officers decided to conduct a stop of his motor vehicle. Officers detained Warburton while officers executed the search warrant. Once entry was gained and the apartment secured officers transported Warburton back to where the officers were and shown a copy of the warrant.
The search of the apartment produced $540.00 in cash, cutting agents used for drug distribution, digital scales, cell phones, a large plastic bag that contained 25 grams of cocaine and another plastic bag that contained 5 grams of heroin.
A search of Warburton produced another plastic bag that contained an additional 23.96 grams of cocaine.
Warburton was placed under arrest and All drug evidence and cash were seized as evidence and secured at police HQ.
