3 Women, Teenage Girl Recovered During  Human Trafficking Sting Operation

Three women and a teenage girl were recovered by Massachusetts State Police during a human trafficking sting operation.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Orlando Range, 27, of Dorchester, who was charged with human trafficking and operating a motor vehicle after license suspension.

Four alleged victims of exploitation were recovered and interviewed.

Three women, ages 20, 21, and 33, were released after being interviewed and advised of available resources.

The fourth, a 17-year-old girl, was taken to an area hospital for examination.

The state Department of Children and Families was notified of the police contact with the 17-year-old.

The Operation

On Wednesday, the State Police High-Risk Victim Unit and the Auburn Police Department, in conjunction with other State Police units, conducted a human trafficking sting operation at an area hotel.

The investigation and operation were conducted by the MSP High-Risk Victims Unit, the Auburn Police Department, the State Police Gang Unit, and the State Police Detective Unit for Worcester County.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Range and the recovery of three women and a teenage girl who were being sexually exploited.
