Woman Shot in Leg While Riding Her Scooter in Worcester

The woman, 19, suffered minor injuries, but refused to go to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Incident
On May, 6 at about 5 p.m., police were sent to the area of Bay State Rd for a report of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers located an 18 year-old-man and a 19-year old woman. They both said they were riding on their scooter together on Beverly Rd when a blue Mazda SUV pulled in front of them in traffic. An unknown man exited the Mazda and struck the male victim with a baseball bat. As the victims tried to drive away, they heard several gunshots, with one round striking the woman victim in the leg. The bullet grazed her leg and she suffered minor injuries.
She was treated by paramedics but refused to go to the hospital.
