Holy Cross Falls to First Place Bucknell 68-49

The loss drops the Crusaders to 8-9 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League. Meanwhile, Bucknell moves to 12-5 overall and remains undefeated in the Patriots League at 4-0.
Bucknell Dominates
The Crusaders were able to hang in the game early, trailing 14-10 after the first nine minutes of action before the Bison went on their first big run.
Over the next four minutes, Bucknell went on an 11-3 run to take a 12 point lead 25-13 near the end of the half.
The Crusaders would get back to within five, 27-22, but the Bison would take a 34-26 lead into the half.
In the second, it was all Bucknell who used an 11-2 run to to take an 18 point lead, 53-35, to put the game away.
The Leaders
The Crusaders were led by Patrick Benzan, who poured in 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting from the field in 29 minutes off the bench.
Karl Charles followed up with 10 points on 3 of 7 shooting from the field.
Next up
The Crusaders will return to action on Wednesday, January 11 when they host Lafayette at 7 p.m.
