Man Shot in Leg During Fight in Worcester

A man was shot in the leg during a fight outside of the Mobil gas station on Grafton Street in Worcester early Sunday morning, December 4. 

According to police, the man, 27, was uncooperative and provided little information about the incident. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

There is no additional information to release at this time as the investigation is still active.

The Incident 

On Sunday, December 4, at approximately 2:26 a.m., Worcester Police responded to the area of the Mobil Station at 352 Grafton Street for a ShotSpotter activation. Police also received a call reporting that there was a large fight in the gas station parking lot and that during the fight one gunshot was fired.

Upon arrival, police were not able to locate any gunshot victims. They did see trash bins turned over in the parking lot and other evidence that a large fight had happened. Approximately 5 minutes later, police were told that a victim suffering from a single gunshot wound just arrived at a local hospital. Police arrived and located a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was uncooperative and provided little information regarding the shooting.
