Three Men Rob Worcester Apartment on New Year’s Eve

Tuesday, January 03, 2017

Three men armed with guns robbed an apartment on 2 Blodgett Place in Worcester on New Year’s Eve.

The three suspects left the scene driving one of the victim’s Mercedes.

There is no more information to release at this time as police are still working to identify the suspects involved.

The Incident

On Saturday, December 31 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Worcester Police responded to 2 Blodgett Place for a report of a Home Invasion involving at least three suspects armed with guns. Upon arrival, officers met with several adult victims at the address and secured the home. They were told that all suspects had left the scene before the police arrived.

While collecting information from the victims, police received a second call for a home invasion, this time from the address of 6 Blodgett Place. Police again responded and encountered several adult victims. The house was cleared for potential suspects and police began gathering information.

The initial investigation showed that at least 3 masked suspects armed with guns forced entry into an apartment at 2 Blodgett Place. The suspects held several adult residents at gunpoint inside the apartment for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. As the residents were held at gunpoint, the suspects ransacked the home, stealing money and jewelry. While the suspects were still inside the apartment, an 18-year-old male resident of the apartment arrived home.

The suspects grabbed the 18-year old ’s car keys and attempted to force him into the car with them. The 18-year-old victim was able to break free and run into nearby 6 Blodgett Place with the suspects chasing him. He was able to escape by jumping out of a window.

The suspects then left the scene in the 18-year old’s Mercedes.
