Homell St. Charles, 44, of Worcester was arrested in connection with the road rage incident that took place on Sunday that resulted in a 43-year-old man being stabbed multiple times. He was charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

St. Charles was at the Worcester County District Courthouse on an unrelated matter when he was taken into custody.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The Incident

Worcester police responded to Lincoln Street by Goldthwaite Road for a report of a stabbing. Upon the officers arrival, Worcester Police saw a 43-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was initially treated at the scene by Worcester EMS and members of the Worcester Fire Department before being transported to a local hospital.

According to witnesses, the victim was traveling in a car with two other occupants, southbound on Lincoln Street. St. Charles' car was traveling north on Lincoln Street.

About the same time both cars were turning into Goldthwaite Road. Reportedly, Charles' car cut off the car that the victim was in. It is believed that the two engaged in an argument.
