Top MA School Official Arrested After Soliciting Sex for a Fee
Saturday, September 10, 2016
According to MassLive, Bliss is the head of school at CATS Academy in Braintree.
He is being charged with offering to engage in sex for a fee as well as human trafficking.
The Investigation
Over the last several weeks, members of the Worcester Police Detective Bureau assigned to the Cyber Crime Unit conducted an investigation into a man identified as Bliss.
As part of this investigation, undercover police officers had multiple conversations with Bliss during which time Bliss offered to engage in sexual conduct for a fee. Based on the investigation and conversations, detectives developed probable cause that Bliss did in fact engage in commercial sex activity by communicating with an undercover officer and lured a person, through the promise of money, to engage in sexual activities.
Through conversations, Bliss arranged to meet the undercover officer on September 5, 2016 at 995 Main Street (McDonald’s) for the purpose of engaging in sex for a fee.
When Bliss arrived at the predetermined meet location, he was placed under arrest by Detectives.
Evidence was recovered from Bliss at the time of arrest and he was transported to the station for booking.
